Dr. Matthew Evitts

Dr. Evitts initially developed an interest in the musculoskeletal system and its role in wellness as a young man pursuing a passion for hatha yoga and working as a massage therapist. This interest in health and wellness and growing passion for manual therapy eventually led him to attend osteopathic medical school obtaining his D.O. degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center. While in medical school he served as a teaching assistant in the osteopathic manipulative medicine lab to further refine these skills.

In medical school he developed a strong interest in anatomy which led him into the field of Diagnostic Radiology completing a residency at the University of Colorado and a subspecialty fellowship in abdominal imaging at University of Washington.  He then joined Corvallis Radiology where he practiced for 19 amazing years.

While benefitting many patients in our area through the practice of Radiology, Dr. Evitts missed direct patient care and decided to rekindle his passion for hands on work. He began taking continuing education classes in osteopathic manipulation and ultimately completed a fellowship through The Cleveland Clinic in Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine.

Dr. Evitts combines his knowledge of anatomy gained through years of imaging with hands on expertise to create a customized osteopathic treatment plan designed to optimize structure and function and promote high level wellness for his patients. His goal is to augment the health in each of his patients, address key restrictions and make meaningful and durable change for his patients with each visit.
